PERFECT PLACE FOR BDAY CELEBRATION - CHATEAU ELAN WINERY RESORT
If your zodiac sign is a Taurus make some noise!!!!!!! I turned 29 on April 22 and decided I wanted to celebrate the day at Chateau Elan Winery Resort in Braselton, GA. This resort is the perfect getaway for any celebration Mother’s Day, your birthday, girls, couples, or family outing.
Birthdays give me so much anxiety because I always feel the pressure of creating a laundry list of things to do to make sure I go all out to celebrate. This year I wasn’t interested in doing that. With this being the last year of my 20's I wanted to reflect and have a mild celebration. I love wine and prefer wine drunk over any other kind of drunk. I love experiences and was confident Chateau Elan Winery would get the job done!
THINGS TO DO AT CHATEAU ELAN WINERY
If you live in Atlanta, Chateau Elan is north of Georgia and the drive is 50 minutes, so a playlist is needed. We arrived to the resort and was in awwww of how beautiful the location looked the fresh-cut greenery grass to the beautiful wine tasting building that was giving me mansion vibes. It’s the perfect location for pictures so make sure you come camera ready!
We made reservations for lunch at @12:30pm at Versailles Restaurant & Bar a restaurant that serves french influenced cuisines. This winery has several different restaurants but we decided to try Versailles. When I walked in I was amazed at how aesthetically pleasing the restaurant looked. It was giving luxury it was giving the birthday girl just arrived vibes! I ordered Lobster & Shrimp Ravioli with seasonal vegetables and triple cream sauce. When you bite into the Ravioli pasta noodle you immediately taste the stuffed lobster and shrimp. The pasta was on top of the cream sauce and it added so much more flavor! I was nervous at first because I’m a brunch girl! I love my french toast but I knew we wouldn't make the brunch hours 7:30 am-11:30 am so I was praying the lunch menu was going to top it off. The server was sweet and professional and because it was my birthday she came out with a mimosa and vanilla creme brûlée topped with strawberries.
CHATEAU ELAN WINE TASTING
After lunch, we walked the resort. Many people stayed overnight. The resort offers spas, hiking trails, golf, painting classes, wellness classes, workshops, and more. Our wine tasting reservation was at 2 pm. The employees recommend making your reservations online for the wine tasting and especially the tour because it books up fast. The wine tasting was the highlight of my birthday. The ticket allow you to try seven different wines from a sheet that lists red wine, white wine, sweet and dry. There were so many options to choose from and it was fun learning the history of each wine. We enjoyed each glass outside while soaking up the sun. Before leaving the resort I was definitely wine drunk and smiling from ear to ear. The experience was so peaceful and fun! Welcome to 29!
