5 Badass Quotes for Living in your Purpose
So I’m always ready to take a risk and accept different transitions in my life. The only difference here is I’m going through the transitions without any attachments of fear. See when I moved to a new city alone I was living in fear but I still pushed myself to up and leave. My body wasn't settled because I spent more hours in the day worrying. The first year of moving I experienced many failures and was ready to pack my bags and leave. I survived my first year slowly pushing fear away. Here I am a year later and moving to this city has molded me into a fearless badass woman.

I’m here today to tell you how much this book "You are a badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life" by Jen Sincero" has changed my life. When I tell you the moment I opened this book I was pacing around the house like YASSSSSSSSSSS! Can you please stop speaking my life? OH, MY GOD! You know what its time for me to make a master plan and LEVEL UP! This time my level up will eliminate the thoughts and opinions of others. Here are 5 quotes from "You are a Badass" that will encourage you to boss up while changing your outlook on life.
“The big snooze will set up emotional blocks to try and stop us, other times she gets physical”
I know what you're thinking what is the “BIG SNOOZE”? Jen Sincero does a great job explaining this in the book. I’m going to make it short and simple. When you're ready to tackle your goals with full force and you get hit with unexpected car repairs, house repairs, bills, more bills, money issues, and more money issues. You do what break down like "nope I’m going to put my goals aside because I have so much going on in my life which is holding me back from focusing on my dream." Nah, sis, this is the big snooze trying to tear you down emotionally. She is throwing those jabs at you to see if you're going to really get in the ring and square up and defeat those emotional breakdowns while keeping your head held high. There will never be a time when things are 100% perfect remember that!
“Watching someone else go for it can be incredibly upsetting to the person who spent a lifetime building a solid case for why themselves can’t”
Don't make excuses for why home girl out here killing it! “Oh she doesn't have a 1-year-old son, she not paying real bills so she can focus on her goals. Nope, I don't want to hear the excuses you can make it happen as well. Your path may be a little different and you may need to hustle a little harder but you can live the life you want if you're serious about making shit happen. Stop with your excuses no one cares work harder.
“It’s like we were born with a bag of money, more than enough to find any dream of ours and instead of following our instincts and our hearts we invest in what other people believe”
The next time somebody looks at you crazy for wanting to chase your dreams that can be starting your own blog, writing a book, becoming an actor, becoming a homeowner in your early 20’s, leaving your 9-5 high salary. Whatever you want to achieve you can do it! Those people are living in fear while watching you chase your dreams. Those people are afraid to live outside of their stagnant life because it may cause some risk and failures to really get to the end goal. So, of course, they will look at you crazy when you say you're leaving those health benefits to start your business or buying a house at a young age. Immediately the response will be "your so young wait until your married with kids." That's fine but you better not let that stop you from fulfilling your dreams. Inspire them! Once they see you living in your dreams they will understand its possible.
"Faith is having the audacity to believe in the not yet seen"
Faith is my best friend! I’m so happy I'm starting to understand in order to progress in life you have to have faith. I worry a lot and will analyze the details while creating the what if stories and all! After reading this book I took a risk to train myself to have faith and trust in the process. If I fail that means its just the beginning of my journey so let me put my seat belt on tight. If you really want it you can make it happen.
"Who you surround yourself with greatly affects how you see your world and how high you set the bar for yourself"
Stop hanging around small minded people! That's going to create more fears for you and when you think about taking that leap of faith you need a support system that's not going to speak on the negatives but have faith. Don't take advice from everyone especially people who don't understand your industry or cant relate. Listen many days I feel like giving up but my friends are always killing it! They will make you feel bad for not leveling up! We are human we will experience different emotions and that's okay. Quick story I will text my sister Krissy Lewis monthly like "I’m taking a break from blogging I need to figure out my next goals. I don't know if I can do it anymore." She will literally tell me to take a mental break and we will talk tomorrow. The moment we get on the phone she will literally boost my ego like look at your growth from then and now. You inspired so many people and this is the only beginning. Krissy just landed a writing job with xoNecole and she is now transiting into a full-time Social Media Manager Freelancer. SIS IS KILLING IT! When she starts to doubt her talent I’m like "nope you're bugging you're not giving up anything." It's so funny how we can really motivate our friends to keep pushing through the fight. But when it comes to motivating yourself we don't take time to shine the light on how much we accomplished.
Take full control of your life and remember the sky is the limit! If you ever want to talk feel free to email me. We all need that extra push.
